My Stamped Concrete Driveway

When I drove up to the house this evening after work I realized that the there were just a few projects left before the house would look great. I figured I would tackle it in terms of costs: first the garage door, then painting everything and finally the driveway and landscaping. Little did I know that the cost of a concrete driveway was way less than I expected. Although in the end I decided to resurface the driveway last so I would not have to worry about my painting skills.

That weekend I went to the hardware store and bought a garage door. I thought about installing it myself, but once I realized that it would cost less than $100 I decided it would be worth it not to have to break my back. This also freed me up to look at painting options, pick up painting supplies and narrow down the colours. By the end of the weekend I had selected a color for the house and the trim. That left me time during the week to prep the garden beds, the windows and the gutters.

By the time I was off of work on Friday all I needed to do was pick up the paint for an early start on Saturday. I borrowed my neighbors compressor and it made painting the house a breeze. I was surprise at how quickly I was able to get the entire house painted. Within a week of taping off the house I had painted the house and all the trim. I was so impressed I called some concrete driveway contractors for some quotes.

Once I got a quote I was happy with I set up a consultation. Like the rest of my home improvement projects, my concrete driveway resurfacing was completed in less than a month. Not only do I have the only stamped concrete driveway in my neighborhood, I am the only one with matching garden edging.
